With Hériztage, all eyes on Rice Camargue at SIRHA 2025

20 janv 2025

From January 23 to 27, Hériztage will showcase its exceptional rice varieties at SIRHA Lyon, the must-attend event for gastronomy and hospitality professionals. This is a unique opportunity to introduce Camargue rice and its expertise to a wider audience beyond its native lands.

Hériztage will make its debut at the 2025 edition of the International Food Service, Hospitality, and Food Trade Show (SIRHA). Known as the brand of young rice growers, Hériztage will present its range of IGP Camargue rice to food service professionals. As a true partner for restaurateurs, Hériztage offers a rich and innovative selection tailored to the specific demands of commercial and collective catering, meeting both taste and industry requirements (e.g., cooking times, packaging, etc.).

Exceptional Products, Easy to Cook and Even easier to consume

Hériztage’s IGP Camargue rice appeals to both Michelin-starred chefs and collective catering professionals. Among its offerings are the flavorful fragrant long white rice and the trio of whole-grain rice. The former serves as a local alternative to Basmati-type white rice, while the latter is an invitation to discover the best of Camargue. This trio features three exceptional long rice varieties: the mild whole-grain rice and the parboiled red and black whole-grain rice, known for their exquisite textures. Hériztage’s food service range evolves between tradition and innovation, embodying the brand’s very essence. For sweet or savory dishes, Hériztage has thought of everything. The organic round white rice is perfect for creating creamy risottos or milk-based desserts like rice pudding, offering a soft texture and a melt-in-your-mouth quality. On the innovation front, Hériztage introduces parboiled long-grain rice (white and whole-grain), available with IGP and/or organic certification. These varieties benefit from an industrial precooking process that gelatinizes starch, making the rice non-sticky and faster to cook (10 minutes)—a significant advantage for large-scale preparations. Hériztage’s diverse Camargue rice range, full of flavor and color, is easy to cook and versatile for every taste and audience while providing a healthy alternative aligned with the constraints of the French Egalim Law.

Celebrating Expertise…

More than just grains, Hériztage rice reflects a passion passed down through generations. It honors a craft of a family group dedicated to the land and mastering every stage of rice cultivation, from planting to final packaging. Positioned as the brand of young rice growers, Hériztage takes its commitment further by championing the revival of French rice farming. This commitment is reflected in the brand and its parent group’s pledge to ensure fair compensation for partner farmers, safeguarding the sustainability of rice production in the Camargue.

…and a Unique Territory

Hériztage rice proudly carries the "IGP Riz de Camargue" label, a mark of origin and quality. This certification ensures compliance with strict guidelines for exemplary agricultural practices and environmental stewardship. These practices include water management, product and process traceability, soil preparation, and planting. Committed to making a difference, Hériztage’s parent group has also embraced a zero-waste approach to preserve its environment, located in the heart of the Camargue Regional Natural Park. It focuses on innovative, low-carbon, energy-efficient industrial processes and works on utilizing all rice by-products for industrial markets or ecological construction.
